Tips for Cleaning and Caring for Wooden Toys

Wooden toys are made from natural materials and have a warm, smooth texture—making them a favorite among both parents and children. To keep them looking new and ensure safe, long-lasting play, regular cleaning and maintenance are essential.

For cleaning, gently wipe the surface with a damp (well-wrung) cloth lightly moistened with a mild, neutral cleaner. Avoid soaking the toy in water for extended periods, and never use harsh acidic or alkaline cleaners—or alcohol-based products—as these may damage the finish. After wiping, allow the toy to air-dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and excessive humidity to prevent wood cracking, warping, or mold growth.

In addition, we recommend inspecting toys regularly for loose parts, splinters, or signs of wear—and addressing any issues promptly. When not in use, store toys in a dry, safe location. With proper care, a high-quality wooden toy can bring joy and companionship throughout your child’s early years.
